You picked a bad time to start this. Even I've been considering taking a break from reading this stuff. It's getting rather too bleak, even for somebody like me who hates happy endings.
Just a month ago things were pretty slow, it's not an exasageration to say that things have gotten really bad, really fast. These things seem to happen in waves, you just happened to start right at high tide. It's unfortunate, but it probably won't last extremly long, suffering is a common theme, but considering all things most people actually have a pretty decent survival rate. It'll ease up eventually things just look bleak because you entered right towards the end of an unnaturally happy period of time.
I never said the wave was anywhere near being done, oh yes, I belive things will be pretty bad for the hunted for a good while. But every now and then there's a lull, and that just makes these things loook even worse when they happen.

I don't particularly think this is a wave.
ReplyDeleteI think things are only just getting started.

I think the analogy of a storm would be appropriate, don't you Mr. Banks?
ReplyDeleteMr. Gold, your articulation leaves much to be desired.
